All students go through additional professional training according to their role at Varna University of Management before each placement begins.

Varna University of Management and Mediterranean College of Bali have entered an agreement between the two educational institutions to launch a student mobility programme for students from Indonesia for studies and internships in Bulgaria. The representative of the college in Bulgaria and project coordinator is Varna-based PS&L Consult Ltd.
The objectives of this agreement are to facilitate the exchange of students from Indonesia and Bulgaria for the implementation of their internship programmes, as well as to promote cultural understanding, academic cooperation and professional development between the two institutions. At the same time, this agreement also aims to support the Bulgarian tourism industry by providing trained service personnel from Indonesia - specifically from Bali - who are well known for their service traditions, for employment in hotels. Before starting work in the hotels, the interns from Indonesia will receive introductory training at Varna University of Management.
An advantage of providing internship-based employment is the facilitated visa regime in accordance with the Bulgarian law, which significantly shortens the time required for the issuance of visas and work permits.
